Social District

Temporary vendors are eligible to sell beverages within the Downtown Danville Social District (DORA) boundaries. To become a temporary vendor, applicants must complete and submit the Town of Danville Temporary Vendor Social District Application, the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) Designations Form, and an Indiana Alcohol & Tobacco Commission (ATC) Temporary Beer/Wine Permit if alcohol will be sold. All applications are reviewed for compliance with state regulations, Town ordinances, and Social District guidelines, and vendors may not sell DORA beverages until all approvals are received. The Town of Danville’s Social District (DORA) reference number is DA3200078. The application and Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission (ATC) State Form 57288 – DORA Designation Form should be submitted to the Town of Danville at least 14 days before the event date.

Danville Social District (DORA) Rules DORA beverages may only be consumed in clear cups with an approved Danville Social District sticker. No more than two (2) DORA beverage cups purchased from approved Danville Social District permittees may be carried outside of an approved establishment at one time. The contents of an open DORA container may not exceed: Beer or flavored malt beverage: not more than 16 ounces Wine, cider, or hard seltzer: not more than 12 ounces Mixed drink: not more than 10 ounces, containing no more than 2 ounces of liquor The Danville Social District may be utilized Sunday through Saturday, 11:00 AM - 1:00 AM. Patrons may not carry DORA beverages into another establishment that serves alcoholic beverages. DORA beverages must remain within the designated Danville Social District boundaries at all times. Glass alcoholic beverage containers are not permitted within the Social District boundaries. Possessing an open container of an alcoholic beverage inside a motor vehicle is prohibited, in accordance with Indiana law.
