  5. Public Meeting
    1. School Board Appointment to RDC – Council President Dave Potter will announce that the Danville Community School Board has recommended Dr. Tracy Shafer to the Redevelopment Commission for a 2-Year term. Requires no further action.
    2. Badge Pinning – Police Chief Jim Holton will present an employee that has been recently been promoted by the Merit Board. Please allow time for photographs. Requires no further action.
    3. Badge Pinning – Fire Chief Rick Duncan will present an employee that has successfully completed their probationary period and is eligible for full-time status. Family and friends will be present for the Badge Pinning Ceremony. Please allow time for photographs. Requires no further action.
    4. Proclamation: Tri Kappa Week – Town Manager Mark Morgan will present a proclamation declaring the week of 2/22/26 to 2/28/26 as Tri Kappa Week. Will require a Vote. Please allow time for photographs.

    5. Wishes to be Heard: HCYAP – Staci Hovermale with the Hendricks County Youth Assistance Program will present a request for funds to support the program. Will require a Vote.

    6. Resolution 4-2026: Transfer of Funds – Clerk/Treasurer Carrie Lofton will present a resolution to transfer funds from the General Fund to the Fire Territory. Will Require a Vote.

    7. Conflict of Interest Forms – Clerk/Treasurer Carrie Lofton will provide Conflict of Interest forms for employees who perform services for the Town. She has also provided forms for signature should Council Members need it. Will require a Vote on each form presented.

    8. Small Structure Asset Report – Utilities Director Barry Lofton will provide updated information on the Small Structures/Culverts that were turned over to the Town upon recent legislation. Requires no further action.

    9. Sweeping Contract: Waste Management – Town Manager Mark Morgan will present the 2026 street sweeping contract with Waste Management for Shady Lane. Will require a Vote.

    10. Request to Auction Property – Town Manager Mark Morgan is seeking permission to move forward with the auctions of properties located at 252 S. Tennessee Street and 302 W. Main Street. Will require a Vote.

    11. Request to Retain Legal Counsel – Town Manager Mark Morgan is seeking permission to obtain a letter of engagement to retain former legal counsel to continue work on an ongoing police matter. Current counsel has made recommendation. Selection will require a Vote.
