Council Meeting Minutes

March 24, 2008

I.      CALL TO ORDER:  Council President Myron Anderson called the Joint Meeting of the Danville Town Council and the Center Township Board of Trustees to order at 7:00pm on March 24, 2008 in the Danville Town Hall, 147 W Main Street. 

II.      ROLL CALL: Council President Myron Anderson acknowledged a quorum of the Council and the Center Township Board then led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag. 

Clerk-Treasurer, Amy Roberts noted the following Council members in attendance:  Myron Anderson, Mike Neilson, Richard Burrows, Steve Hartsock and Jeff Martin.  Center Township Board members present:  Jim Disney and Beth Harvey. Patsy Wynn was not present.  Center Township Trustee, Judy White was also present along with township attorney Steve Buschmann.

Clerk-Treasurer Amy Roberts noted the following Administrative officials present:  Gary Eakin, Town Manager; Amy Roberts, Clerk-Treasurer; and Kevin Dogan, Town Attorney.  Buzz Krohn with O.W. Krohn Associates was present on behalf of the Town.

III.      AGENDA ITEMS:

a.       Establishment of a Fire Territory. 

President Myron Anderson updated all present on the negative effects HB1001 would have on the establishment of a Fire Territory and the decision by the Town Council and Center Township Board to not go forward with the formation of a Territory.

No public hearing was held and no public comment was made.

IV.      ADJOURNED:  President of the Council Myron Anderson adjourned the meeting at 7:08pm.
