Recreation

Danville is a great destination for finding fun, recreation and culture. The town's municipal park, Ellis Park, features a variety of amenities for all ages including picnic facilities, a swimming pool, clay tennis courts and baseball fields. Blanton Woods is a great place to experience nature first-hand through 50 acres of marked trails that include special trails for the handicapped. If you're looking for something indoors, try out the Hendricks County Museum in downtown Danville. Built in the 1800s, this former jail now offers a great opportunity to learn about central Indiana's historic past.

Park Space Master Plan

At the January Park Board meeting, the Master Plan for Playscape and West Side Park was presented. The maps included represent the community's goals and aspirations for the future of these spaces.
