Public Works Department
The Danville Public Works Department is responsible for the care and maintenance of the Town's 49 linear miles of public roadways, sidewalks, alleys, municipal vehicle maintenance, and a variety of other services associated with the town's infrastructure and rights-of-way.

Divisions of Public Works:
Fleet Maintenance- Public Works keeps all Town government vehicles operating through repair and maintenance.
Mowing-The Public Works Department mows public right of way along Town streets, in Town-owned parking lots, and on certain INDOT Roads. Mowing occurs as needed from March thru October.
Streets:- Main thoroughfares, collectors, and all residential streets are scheduled to be swept at least three times per year during the spring, summer, and fall months. The downtown business district is scheduled to be swept twice each week (typically early mornings due to traffic).

Seasonal Services Provided by Public Works:
Sidewalk Replacement Program-The property owner pays 1/2 the cost of the concrete and sealer. The Town covers the other half and provides the labor. Complete the top portion of the form and submit it to the Public Works Department. Application link: Sidewalk Program

Snow Removal- Public Works is responsible for providing snow and ice control for the Town's 53 miles of public roadways. Main arterial routes are given priority and then residential routes are cleared. Snow Route Map
