Public Event Banners

The Town of Danville provides limited banner display space to promote local events that benefit our community. Please review the guidelines below before submitting a reservation request.

Who Can Reserve a Banner Display

  • Local non-profits, government agencies, and businesses that have a presence in or serve Danville may reserve banner space.

  • Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • All banners must promote a specific event taking place within Danville town limits.

What Is Not Allowed

The Town of Danville reserves the right to deny any banner request that:

  • Conflicts with the Town’s or Parks Department’s mission of honesty, safety, and integrity.

  • Promotes competing programs or facilities.

  • Contains content that is misleading, political, violent, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate.

  • Advertises alcohol, tobacco, vape products, gambling, or weapons.

  • Comes from any individual or group involved in litigation with or owing money to the Town.

Editorial Control & Legal Responsibility

  • The Town retains full editorial control over placement, design, content, and wording of banners.

  • Advertisers are responsible for ensuring banners comply with copyright, privacy, and advertising laws.

  • All unscheduled banners are subject to current rates and policies.

General Requirements

  • Banners must have grommets in each corner and approximately every foot along the edges.

  • Banners without grommets will be charged an additional $25 grommet fee.

  • Displays run from Tuesday to Tuesday and must be picked up within 14 days after removal.

  • Banners are $50 per week. 
  • Online payment and reservation are required before your banner will be displayed.

Prohibited Content

The following types of content are not allowed:

  • Profanity, graphic imagery, or sexually explicit language

  • Political campaigns, ballot issues, or controversial public issues

  • False, deceptive, or misleading messages

  • Violent acts or depictions, or references to firearms or explosives

  • Promotion of alcohol, tobacco, vaping, or gambling
