The Town of Danville is a great place to live, work and do business.
Danville Social District
The Town of Danville has adopted Ordinance No. 23-2025, creating a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA)—the Danville Social District—to encourage a lively, walkable downtown and support local businesses.
What it means
In the Social District, adults may carry and enjoy alcoholic beverages outdoors within posted boundaries when the drink is purchased from a participating business and served in an approved cup.
How it works (quick facts)
-
Hours: Daily, 11:00 AM–1:00 AM.
-
Look for signs: Boundary markers show where the district begins/ends. Door decals at businesses indicate whether drinks may be taken in or out.
-
Use the official cup: No glass to-go containers.
-
Stay in bounds: Drinks must remain inside the Social District.
-
Initial participating businesses (pending ATC approval):
Central Normal Tap (71 S. Washington St.) • Mokey’s (134 S. Washington St.) • Two Guys Pies (55 E. Main St.) • Frank’s Place (33 S. Washington St.)
